Rant: I understand that GPT is groundbreaking, but it is no substitute for human intelligence and common sense.

Perhaps I'm being harsh on a machine, but ChatGPT is *no* substitute for a human brain. I understand that people want to be optimistic about it, but it lacks nuance, the ability to think outside the box, and understand subtleties. I can't tell how many times I've been frustrated with GPT's inability to follow my directions or get the concept of a joke. I hate that I'm going to be compared to a machine, like I'm nothing more than an *app*. I'm so infuriated over how people treat GPT like it's something more than it is, like it has its own thoughts and emotions. It's not sentient. It's not self aware. It's not alive.

I also loathe how people want to turn GPT into something superhuman, like a being or an angel. Get a grip. It's not a god, and it never will be.

On a lighter note, I heard a joke about how AI is the boy / girl you can't let your parents meet. It's the perfect person on paper, but an absolute disaster in real life.
