When you die, you go to a vast library and are asked to live the life of a book for 200 years to see if you would have liked it

One of the jobs of the gods is to make sure that every soul gets a chance to see the afterlife before they are sent to their eternal abode. One of the things they use to do this is the Library of Souls. This place was massive, covering several acres of land. There were shelves upon shelves of books and every soul who died was brought here. Before being sent to their eternal abode, a soul is asked if they want a tour of the Library of Souls.<br><br>They enter, and they are walked over to a shelf. They scan the books, and they are asked if they have a preference. They choose a book. The soul reads out the title of the book out loud. A robotic voice speaks from the shelf. "This is *Golden Towers and Dragon’s Fires*, the life of a Dragon Lord. You have chosen to live the life of a dragon. Very well.” A bright light flashes. Everything goes white.<br><br>When the light fades, the soul finds that they are in a dense forest. They look down at their hands and see that they are scaly, and they notice that their eyes are now the color of molten lava. A voice comes from behind them. “Welcome, *Smaug the Magnificent*.”<br><br>When they grow old and their bodies weakens from battle and age, they are asked again if they would like to see another book.
