I'm not going to be silent about the murder of George Floyd anymore.

I'm white and British. And I'm normally an apolitical person, and I'm not going to make a habit of speaking about sensitive topics like politics or race issues, because I know I don't understand these things well enough and my words are relatively harmless. But black people are being killed by the people that are supposed to protect them, and I'm not going to be silent about it anymore. These incidents keep happening, and black people keep dying, and most of us who aren't black just go about our day like nothing happened. We have to talk to each other about it, because we have to raise awareness. We have to raise our voices for those who don't have one.<br><br>&#x200B;<br><br>Edit: I don't care if this post doesn't get any upvotes. I might have changed someone's perspective, and that's all that matters. The justice system really is rotten in places and I'm not stupid enough to be fooled by political spin and biased media.
