My boyfriend talks in his sleep. One night he said something that Makes no sense to me

My boyfriend is a great guy, we’ve been together for 10 months and see each other 2-3 times per week. We aren’t at the moving in together or meeting family stage yet but it’s feeling serious. <br><br>He’s a great straightforward and communicative man in every way. However he talks in his sleep. He wont say whole sentences but he’ll be asleep and say a word or a few words. He says things that make sense like “I love you” or “Goodnight” but most of the time he says random words. Sometimes it’s food like “grapes” or “strawberries”. Sometimes it’s things like “Parrot” or “Bathtub”. <br><br>But one night he said something that troubled me. I was lying next to him in bed and he quietly said “Why are you doing this?” <br><br>I said “babe what are you talking about?” (even though I knew he was sleeping) and he didn’t respond. <br><br>It was so weird. Why would he be asking that? The context was lost but it almost sounded like he was being attacked or accused of something. <br><br>The next morning I asked him “Did you have any weird dreams last night?” He said no. I said “OK just curious” <br><br>Do you think this could mean anything? He’s a pretty straightforward man with little secrets so IDK what it could mean. I don’t necessarily think he’s hiding anything. I’m just concerned about the context of the statement.
