I've worked in the produce department for over 20 years, at a grocery store. I've worked through supply chain slow downs and shortages, although everything eventually gets resolved.

I feel like something is really going wrong right now. Some items are already out of stock, some are out of season. I attribute that to the climate crisis and global warming.

Where I live in South America, we're beginning to show signs of Autumn. Lemons and Limes are already out of stock, and I don't see that getting resolved soon. Those are a year round fruit.

Somebody else that works in the produce department mentioned to me that most produce comes from China. They're gearing up for war, so they love the fact that the US is so heavily dependent on them.

I've seen images of empty grocery stores in China. This isn't just about the US. I think the global economy is beginning to collapse and it's not going to get better any time soon.
