What do I do?

So I met a guy. He seemed nice and we really hit it off. He even mentioned that he'd search for me despite the distance. So the next day I texted him and he responded right away. He invited me to his place, and I agreed. Then I asked how he was gonna pick me up, and he said "don't search for answers you're not ready for". I don't know what to do. Should I text him back, or go to the cops? Or something else entirely?
