LPT: You can buy a hell of a lot more hijab as a white woman than you can by purchasing fabric.

I bought this one really good quality hijab for hijab, and it was $5. I can get 6 hijabs at a thrift store for $5. They are usually silk or cotton scarves. I find the best as the really nice print silk ones without any edges; you can just cut to size, put on your head, and you’re done. My gf looked through my ones I’ve purchased and said what I had purchased was probably hijab, but when I show her my $1 silk scarves, hijab is a lot more expensive.

Edit: I did hijab for a bit when I was younger as a white woman. Unfortunately, it was very triggering for my gf, so I stopped. I used a lot of what I already had, but I always love when I find a really good quality swing. It’s not for hijab anymore, but a hijab is a great swing.

Edit 2: Honestly, the best have hijab is the kind that is silk or cotton. The ones that are made from polyester are awful quality. I can buy 5 of the silk or cotton and be good for a few weeks. I can buy 5 of the polyester ones and they will be broken within a week.
