Does anyone else here find it odd how they want to portray incest as a horrific thing in media?

Why do they remind us of how horrible it is in every movie, and in every show? I’m just so confused as to why it would even cross their minds to put that in. It’s as if they want to put the idea that incest is gross in our minds. I don’t get it. I guess they just want everyone to hate incest so much so that no one does it.<br><br>Edit: I also want to add that some of them make it so obvious that they are siblings, like they make them literally look like the same person, and want to have sex with each other.<br><br><br>Edit: Looking at the comments it seems like I didn’t articulate myself very well. What I am trying to say is I don’t understand why they portray incest as horrible in media, unless they are trying to brain wash us into thinking that incest is bad.
