The House passed a bill that would allow individuals who can carry concealed weapons in their own states to carry them across state lines. Republicans introduced the Concealed Carry Reciprocity Act of 2023, which seeks to recognize concealed carry permits issued by one state as valid in any other state that also allows concealed carry.

The bill, which passed mostly along party lines with some Democrats supporting it, would allow concealed carry permit holders to carry their weapons in states that do not require permits but do allow concealed carry.
