Hotels are the worst

I have been booking a lot of hotels recently for travel and every single hotel has been a complete disappointment.

They’re so expensive, with mine ranging from 150$ for a “basic” hotel to 300$ for a more “luxurious” one. They usually have horrible customer service, rude employees, and they never let you do anything that is slightly outside their policy.

For example, I recently stayed at a hotel and I assumed we had a second bed in the room as the booking said we had two “queen beds.” When we got there, there was only one bed and they said that the booking said “two queen beds or one king bed” and they gave us the king bed. It was a huge hassle and they didn’t care.

Another example is I assumed breakfast was included (as it is at a lot of hotels) but nope. That’s another 20$ a person.

They also have the audacity to charge you for parking your car in their parking lot. It’s 10$ a night and they say it’s for “security” but I don’t see any extra security cameras or employees outside, so seems like a scam to me.

I’m sure hotels have their advantages, but for now, they just seem like a complete waste of money, and even though I have to continue staying at them, I better not encounter any more bs or else I’m calling the manager.
