Anyone ever notice how overly critical the media is towards men who remain childless?

I’d say a good 2/5 of the movies that I have seen have depicted the main character male as a loser NEET, alcoholic, and a cigarette smoker with no direction in life. He’s usually portrade as a 35-45 year old man who lives by himself with no direction in life until he meets the beautiful female protagonist who happens to have a child. It’s like a lot of movies are potraying the man as being incomplete because he doesn’t have a child of his own. It’s always the female protagonist with a kid, not the other way around.
