The man with the bright green hair sat at a desk with a small book lying on his lap. His eyes were closed as his hands moved back and forth over the pages of the book, his fingers tracing out the words.

He was a gypsy, the green hair giving him away. He had wandered the world for years, living off his wits. He had heard about this place by word of mouth. The key he had been given by the mysterious old woman had unlocked the door and led him into a world he never knew existed.

The library was like no place he had ever seen before. The books lining the shelves were unlike any he had seen. The words inside the pages were unlike any language he had ever heard before. He had spent the last few days studying the books he had taken. He was currently sitting in a cozy little nook, reading through a book about how to get into the library in the first place.

The man, whose name was Finn, was reading a section of the book that told him to expect a companion.

It wasn’t long before he felt a tap on his shoulder.

Finn opened his eyes to find a man standing there.

He was a gentleman of some sort. The black tuxedo, and the bow-tie, told that much.

The man had a look on his face as if he was trying to place where he knew the man from.

Finn was the same. He had the same look on his face, only he seemed to be thinking about who he knew.

The man had long black hair. His eyes were a bright blue, almost green. Finn could tell he was Asian, but he couldn’t tell where exactly he was from.

“Do I know you?” The man asked.

“No,” Finn replied, “But you know me.”

The man’s face lit up.

“Ah, yes!” He said. “You’re the boy who rode the bus with me.”

Finn nodded. “And you’re the boy who bought me a drink.”

They both chuckled.

“So what are you doing here?” Finn asked.

“I’m the same as you. I’m here to study the books.”

“Which books are you studying?” Finn asked.

“I’m reading the book on how to get here in the first place.”

“I’m doing the same thing.”

They both looked at the books they had in their hands.

“Where are you from?” The man asked.

“Romania.”

“Really?” He asked, surprised. “I never would have guessed.”

Finn nodded. “I’m a gypsy.”

The man nodded. “So am I.”

“Really?”

The man nodded. “I’m from India. The gypsies in India are called the Romani people.”

“I knew that!” Finn exclaimed. “But I never met a Romani person before.”

The man smiled. “You met one now.”

Finn smiled back. “So what are you studying?”

“The books in the middle shelf in the left corner.”

“I’m reading the same books. But I’m also reading the book on how to get here in the first place.”

“That’s a good idea. I didn’t think of that.”

The man nodded. “Yes, I think you’re smarter than me. I didn’t do so well in school.”

“I didn’t do well in school either.”

The man nodded. “Yes, I think we’re the same age. I’m 23.”

“I’m 22.”

The man nodded again. “So you’re one year younger than me.”

“Yes, I am.”

They both nodded.

The silence was broken when Finn spoke up.

“I’m going to the cafeteria. Do you want to come with me?”

The man nodded enthusiastically.

As they walked out of the room, Finn noticed a man standing in the hallway.

He was an old man. His hair was gray and white. His eyes were a bright blue, almost green.

The old man reminded Finn of a character from a fairy tale. He was dressed in a long black coat with a top hat and a cane. Finn imagined the man to be the evil witch who lived in a castle with the beautiful princess who he was trying to kidnap.

“Who’s that?” Finn asked, pointing to the old man.

“That’s the old man who gave me the key.” The man replied.

Finn looked at the old man again.

“Did he give you a key too?” Finn asked.

“Yes, he did.” The man replied.

“I think we have to go talk to him.” Finn said.

The man nodded enthusiastically.

As they walked down the hallway, Finn noticed the walls were adorned with old pictures of people and things he didn’t recognize.

The old man was standing in front of a picture of a man and a woman. The woman was dressed in a white wedding dress, while the man was dressed in a black tuxedo.

The old man was smiling as he looked at the picture.

“Do you know who that is?” Finn asked.

“Yes, I do.” The man replied.

“Who is it?” Finn asked.

The man looked at Finn. “That’s me and my wife. We were married a year ago.”

Finn nodded. “Congratulations.”

The man smiled. “Thank you.”

As they looked at the picture, Finn couldn’t help but notice how beautiful the woman was.

“She’s a very pretty woman,” Finn said.

“Yes, she is.” The man replied.

“She looks so happy in the picture.”

The man nodded. “Yes, she was very happy on our wedding day.”

As they talked, the old man slowly walked away from the picture.

Finn couldn’t help but notice how beautiful the woman was. He had never seen anyone as pretty as she was before.

The old man looked at Finn and the man. “Are you two here to study the books?”

“Yes, we are.” Finn replied.

The old man nodded. “Good, I’m glad you’re here.”

Finn smiled. “Thank you for the key.”

The old man nodded. “You’re welcome.”

The man nodded. “Thank you for the key.”

The old man smiled. “You’re welcome.”

As the old man walked away, Finn looked at the picture of the man and woman.

The woman was still smiling, but her eyes looked sad.

Finn nodded. “She’s a very pretty woman.”

The man looked at Finn. “Yes, she is.”

“She looks so happy in the picture.” Finn said.

The man nodded. “Yes, she was very happy on our wedding day.”

Finn nodded. “I know exactly what that’s like.”

The man looked at Finn. “Really?”

Finn nodded. “Yes, I got married a year ago too.”

The man smiled. “Congratulations.”

Finn nodded. “Thank you.”

As they talked, Finn couldn’t help but notice how beautiful the woman was.
