How did you decide which calibers to stock up on?

Would love to hear how you made that decision, did you go to a gunshop and see what kinds of calibers they frequently had in the display case? <br><br>Did you stock up on the calibers your guns use? <br><br>I ask because I frequently read on gun chambers people talking about the cost to stock up on calibers besides 9mm. I am a 40 fan but dont see any of that in the display case.<br><br>I realize decisions are made frequently based on personal preference, but I would think a person could stock up on the calibers they frequently see in the display case. Just my opinion. <br><br>Also, a lot of gun stores have 223 frequently in stock. <br><br>Thanks
