EDIT: first time I've ever posted CMV and I haven't slept yet. This might be a bad idea but I'm going to start with the obvious. <br>Teleportation in this sense is how you imagine it. You click your heels together and you teleport. You can go anywhere in the world but you can't teleport yourself out of your physical body or into the body of someone else. It's you, teleporting you. <br>The other stipulation is that you can't teleport yourself to space. I'll just stop at the atmosphere. <br>And that's it. Now onto the post itself. <br>The ability to teleport would be so powerful even if you could only do it once. <br>You could teleport yourself to paradise, never have to deal with any of the negative side effects of living, and live happily ever after. <br>Or you could teleport yourself to the highest bidder and live happily ever after. <br>But the reality of this isn't hidden. Everyone would be able to picture the absolute paradise they've been dreaming of their entire lives. And then the offered million dollar checks would come flooding in from the worlds elite. <br>But then comes the realization that a million dollars is not enough to leave your dream paradise behind for the rest of your life. Maybe you can teleport yourself to a life of luxury, but at the cost of never being able to leave your mansion. <br>But then come the billionaires. <br>"Teleport to my island, you'll never have to deal with the outside world again. You'll be able to do whatever you want whenever you want at any time of day. You'll never have to pay for groceries or bills or rent. We'll even clone you a dog." <br>You can do anything you want for the rest of your life and you'll never have to pay for the privileges that come with it. <br>But the reality of a life of luxury is that it's not all it's cracked up to be. After awhile the life of luxury becomes your normal life, and it feels like nothing more than a life of normalcy. <br>And then the offers come flooding in from the world elite. "The world is yours to do with as you please. We'll make you your own country and you'll be the one and only ruler. You'll have the power to do whatever you want at any time. You'll never have to pay for anything. But there's one stipulation, you'll never be able to leave the premises. You'll never be able to see your friends or your family again. You'll only be able to do what you want within the realm of your kingdom." <br>But then come the offers that you can't refuse. "Marry me and you'll never have to deal with the struggles of life again. We'll never have to pay for anything. We'll go on vacations every other day and we'll own islands and castles. We'll never have to pay a bill. We'll never grow old. We'll never die. Do this and we'll throw in the ability to clone anything we want so we can have a dog, a cat, a bird, monkeys, anything." <br>The offers wouldn't stop. They would just keep coming and coming. And that's when the realization hits you. You have something that everyone wants. Everyone. <br>And when you have something like that, you want to sell it to the person with the most money. You want to live a life of luxury for the rest of your life. <br>But you don't sell it to the person with the most money. You sell it to the highest bidder. You live your life as royalty. <br>So put yourself in my shoes. If I had the ability to teleport I would never use it. I would sell it to the highest bidder and live a life of luxury for the rest of my life. <br>CMV.<br><br>EDIT: Some of you asked me what my price would be. My answer is $1 billion. <br>Take that amount of money and imagine what life would be like with it. You could travel the world non-stop. You could own multiple houses. I myself would own an island that I would never go on but own nonetheless. <br>But then imagine having to give up your freedom. You would never be able to leave your house and you would never be able to visit your friends. You would never be able to have a family of your own because you would never be able to leave your house. <br>You would be required to stay at home at all times. You would never be able to see the world. You would never be able to see your family and your friends again. You would never be able to visit your hometown again. <br>So that's my price. $1 billion. <br>CMV.
