Girlfriend (28F) of two years wants me (30M) to start paying her £1000 a month. Is this normal?

I've been with my girlfriend for 2 years, we live together in my flat that I got when I was 18. She moved in about a year ago.<br><br>I have always paid for the vast majority of our dates and holidays. Because she earns about 50% of what I do. <br><br>She does all the household chores like cooking and washing etc.<br><br>She pays for the groceries.<br><br>Sometimes I give her money if she wants to shop or needs something.<br><br>Recently she has been making comments about how she thinks she should get more money from me because our wages are so different.<br><br>I give her about £200 a month.<br><br>She wants me to give her £1000 or more.<br><br>I honestly don't think that's necessary at all.<br><br>I am happy to give her money, I want to look after her, but that much seems crazy to me. <br><br>Is that a normal amount?
