AITA for checking my daughters' bags after my husband packed them and now he's mad at me?

I (32F) have two daughters, E (5F) and A (3F). My husband (35M) and I are going on a brief vacation with them and I noticed he had already packed their bags. He did this before with their suitcases but I didn't mind since he has always been good at that.<br><br>When I opened the bags to double check however, I noticed that he'd packed my daughter E's favorite dress and A's favorite nightie. Both are very special to my daughters and I told him we couldn't take them since he has no idea what's important to them. <br><br>He got mad at me and said I was being controlling and making him feel useless. He's been doing this for a while now and I've gotten used to it. But in this case, I felt like he'd done something wrong and I had to correct it. <br><br>He's been giving me angry looks and has been acting cold towards me.
