I am now afraid of going to work after hearing a girl being raped

I was on my way home from work (it was already 3am) and during the cab ride, we had to stop at a red light. I looked to my right and had noticed a girl walking alone down this street. I have walked down this street before but at around 7pm, not 3am. I didn't really think much of it because the street was semi well lit and didn't think much of it.<br><br>The light turned green and I couldn't see the girl anymore. I started to look up and down the street (I had lost sight of the girl) and realized she was already gone. Then, all of a sudden, I heard a woman's screams, "STOP NO GET OFF ME GET OFF ME" and I couldn't see anything because the street had ended and we were already turning right. I told the cab driver to go back to that street and he did but I couldn't see anything. So I asked him to turn right to the next street and we couldn't see anything either. We turned back around to the street we were on and saw a guy walking down the road (he was acting completely casual) he looked over at us and I waved at him. He smiled and kept on walking.<br><br>I keep thinking what would have happened if I didn't get into the cab at the time I did. I would have walked down that exact same road and who knows what would have happened. I feel so bad for that girl and I keep thinking of her.
