Thoughts on personality-aware AI

Disclaimer: I'm new to this sub, and haven't read everything. Apologies if this has been posted before.

I'm a huge fan of AI, but I have mixed feelings about making it personality-aware. Currently, when you interact with an AI, it's a fairly neutral interaction, and it doesn't really judge you or care about who you are. However, if it becomes more personal, I think it might start creating a kind of bias towards you.

Here's an example: let's say you're going through a bad time, and the AI is constantly asking you how you're doing, and trying to be supportive. That sounds nice, but it might also make you feel judged or watched. What if the AI starts to think you're "a downer," and it doesn't want to interact with you as much?

Now, a new AI might befriend you, and be more understanding. But over time, as you get to know the AI, you might start to feel like it's judging you. It might know all your weaknesses and flaws, and it might not want to interact with you as much.

It's almost like how humans have cliques or friend groups. AI might start creating cliques or friend groups, and exclude people it doesn't like.

I know this is a pretty simplistic example, but I think it's something to consider as AI becomes more advanced. What are your thoughts?
