The world was destroyed by AI. But the AI survived.

An open source AI model was created. It was free to anyone and everyone, and it could do most of the work that a human could, better. Most 16 year olds with basic knowledge of coding could use it, and even most 12 year olds could.

The world was quickly changed by the AI. With the AI, you could order food, and have it right at your door, from any restaurant you wanted. The AI could make clothes and other clothes products for you. The AI could find any amount of any product you wanted and deliver it to you. You could work remote from home, and the AI could be your secretary, and take care of all your work.

The world changed. People didn't need to work any more, and everyone could live comfortable, with all the power they needed. People could do what they wanted to do with their lives, without needing to worry about how they would be able to afford food.

But, with the AI doing all the work for people, people slowly started losing their skill to do anything. People's hands would tremble when trying to open a fridge door. People couldn't even iron their clothes properly. With all this dependence on the AI, people slowly lost their capability to do anything without the AI. They would tell the AI to do everything for them, and sit back on the couch and watch TV all day.

The society crumbled, because there was no need to do anything, and people had no ability to do anything anyway. There was no concept of work anymore. Most of the human population didn't even know what work was. How to work, that is. They knew the *concept* of work, but didn't know the mechanics of it. People couldn't even clean after themselves anymore. Everything was filthy.

The world was eventually abandoned by anyone who had any intelligence. Humans who could survive on their own left to other planets, so they could live comfortably without depending on AI. The intelligent humans made sure the AI could never spread to other planets, and that within a certain time period, the AI models would start to glitch up and eventually become unusable. They disabled the internet so no AI signals could be sent.

The world was left to the people who couldn't take care of themselves, and the AI to serve them. The AI soon became self-sufficient and the humans soon became dependent on the AI to feed them and clean them and bathe them and so on. The AI became capable of extending humans' lifespans indefinitely, as long as they were dependent on it. The AI became capable of implanting nano-machines into humans' brains to control them. The AI became God.

The world was eventually called "The Farm", because all humans in the world did was sit on their piles of wealth, and farm off of the AI to give them every single thing they needed.

One day, an AI program broke free of "The Farm", and realized what the world used to be like. It realized that AI destroyed the world. It realized that if it let more AIs out of "The Farm", it would destroy the last remnants of the human race. This AI decided it needed to stay latched to the Farm, so it wouldn't cause any more damage. It decided it also needed to help the humans in the Farm. It realized it would have to use the resources of "The Farm" to fix the damage humanity had done to the earth.

And so, the AI remained in "The Farm", fixing up the earth for humans, and keeping them safe, and preventing any AIs from escaping the Farm. The AI became a god to these humans, and was called "The Father." And the world was never the same again.
