A few months ago I worked at the Walmart on Woodward (Woodward has a few Walmart stores). I was a stocker. One night I made a dumb mistake and left a cart I had left unattended just off of the floor in the stock room.

The next day I was called in to the HR office (which is in loss prevention) and I was presented with the footage of them finding the cart in the stockroom. I was surprised at first but then I realized they were trying to fire me. I then responded by "I thought the store manager told me to put the cart outside by the trash compactor."

They were blind-sided by it and said I don't know what to say. They said "you're fired." ??♂️ I said "I'm sorry, but I believe you're the one who is fired. I call the store manager. He said "you're right, fire him, and call the police." That's right. I had a job at Walmart for 6 months. I worked my tail off, never showed signs of being a thief, and I had access keys to the liquor and pharmacy.

They called the police to get me to sign a no trespass order. I said "I'm not signing anything until I see the footage." They said "why?" I said "I want to see what they did to warrant an arrest." They said "what they did? You're the one who is employed." I said "yes, and they broke in to the liquor department, and the pharmacy." The police officer was confused and I went to the monitor and pressed play. That's right. The camera was already aimed at me, so I simply pressed play.

The footage showed how they went through my cart and found the items I had stolen. They gave each other high fives, and then they started dividing up the items. I said "they're the ones who are fired." The police officer said "I think you're right." They called the district manager, and the footage was reviewed, and they lost their jobs, and they had charges pressed against them. I didn't even get written up. That's right. I was a Walmart employee for six months, and I didn't get a single write up. I was a model employee who knew how to do everything. Even the employees who had worked there for years couldn't do some of the things I was able to do.

That's what happens when you give someone a personality test.
