Google announces Gemini, its next AI model

Gemini is the next generation AI model from Google, and it's the first in the Gemini series. It's being built from the Gemini foundation model, a next-generation AI model that serves as the base for future models, including Gemini Pro. Gemini Foundation serves as foundation for Gemini, Gemini Pro as well as Gemini for Developers and Gemini for Enterprise, the new commercial API for Gemini. There are plans for more apps and experiences to be built with Gemini in the future. Google said that Gemini was designed from the ground up with a "people-first" approach, with safety, privacy, and factuality. Google's Gemini model is the base that will power Bard, Google's generative AI chatbot.
