My girlfriend (24f) of 18 months asked my (26m) preference about her pubic hair and now finds me "revolting"

So yesterday my girlfriend casually asked me how I prefer pubic hair to be groomed. She usually keeps hers short, but neat.

Well, I have always loved the completely shaven look on a woman. I don't think she ever would go fully shaved, and that's fine but I always wanted to tell her about my preference and she was asking me. So I told her my answer.

That it's my preference, but that I think its stupid that men usually like it fully shaven because "it makes them look like a little girl". I also said that its so much effort and I like her how she is. I also told her that I think pubic hair is really sexy on a woman.

Well, it was like I insulted her or something. She literally just stopped talking to me and ignored me for the rest of the night. This morning, she was still acting cold towards me.

She usually does all the housework, and by "all" I mean 99% of it. Welp, this morning there was a note on the fridge with all the chores I needed to do and at the bottom it said "You're revolting" with a heart at the end.

I have no idea what to do. I feel like I literally did nothing wrong. I don't want her going and fully shaving herself or anything like that because I said that was my preference. I just feel so confused.

What should I do? I feel like I'm being punished for answering a question.

Edit: Please stop attacking each other in the comments. I appreciate all the help.

Update: I wrote her a nice note back explaining how I felt and how I was just answering her question. I immediately noticed a change in her after that so I think she just needed to feel understood. I'm very happy that things are back normal now and she was extremely apologetic.
