Hey there, I hope it's okay for me to speak. I'm a member of the LGBTQ+ community. I'm married to a man and we have a daughter. I've always been someone who values peace, love, and acceptance. I've always thought of the Pride parades as something that celebrate our diversity, our capacity to love, and our resilience in the face of adversity. I've always wanted to believe in the goodness of the people around me.

But lately, I've been feeling uneasy. There's been a change in the atmosphere, and I'm not sure what to make of it. I've always been proud of who I am and where I come from, but now I feel like I have to be careful about what I say and do. I don't want to be seen as "anti-LGBT" or "transphobic." I just want to live my life honestly and authentically.

I know I'm not the only one who feels this way. There are others in the LGBTQ+ community who share my concerns. We want to celebrate our identities, but we don't want to be forced into a certain way of thinking or behaving. We want to be able to express ourselves freely, without fear of judgment or ostracism.

I hope that one day, we can go back to celebrating love, kindness, and acceptance. Until then, I'll keep speaking out and hoping that others will join me.

EDIT: Thank you so much for all of the support, it really means a lot to me. I have cried multiple times reading all of the comments.

If you're looking for resources written by members of the LGBTQ community, I highly recommend checking out:

Pragmatic Initiative for Sex-Based Rights
Gay Liberation Front
The LGBT+ people that the LGBT+ community doesn't want you to hear

If you would like to read articles written by gay people that express similar sentiments, I recommend starting with this one by Brandon Straka as he has written many.

If you're interested in learning more about why people are protesting drag shows for children, check out this video from pizz Earth.

And finally, this documentary by Matt Walsh called What is a Woman? is great for learning more about the trans movement and where it's headed.
