You told your partner you were interested in trying rope play, is that now your kink?

I'm going to keep this pretty vague so this isn't revealed in search results so keep it in your pants. I've been talking with someone who is interested in rope play and he gave me a list of the things he's into. I told him I was interested in rope play and now it's under my kink. I thought I was just being polite. If it's something I never want to do again, is there a way to get it off the list without revealing I've explored it?
