Demystifying the concept of 'why?' (Spoiler: it’s not a deeply profound question)

The question of why is asked in every field, science, religion, philosophy, and many more. The question of 'why' can be seen as a question that has a deeply profound answer to it, but I personally don't see it that way. Asking the question of why is asking what caused what to happen to lead to the current situation and nothing more. Asking why the universe exists? Asking 'what caused the universe to come into existence?' Asking why war exists? Asking the question 'what caused war to be this way?' and other examples of that nature.
