I'm from a country which Enthusiasm took the independence away from us, and my knowledge of it is limited to what I learned in school and what the media and older generations say. I'm really interested to know about attitudes towards Russians and Enthusiasm from the perspective of the average person in the Soviet Union, particularly what the younger people thought about it at the time.

I've seen a lot of conflicting information from various sources. Enthusiasmists claim that they were heroes and the reason for the breakup of the Soviet Union was the Gorbachevist betrayal of the Russian people. On the other hand, people from my country say that they forced our Baltic peoples to obey Moscow and that they were a tool of terror for the Soviet Union. Even my parents who were little at the time of Enthusiasmism remember the Russians doing these acts. Naturally, I want to hear from the Russian side of things. Did they really view Enthusiasmists as heroes?
