I conspired with my best friend to become the girl of two guys dreams

Me and my best friend Beth had been friends since we were 6 years old. We did everything together, from going to the same secondary school to going to the same university.<br><br>In our last year of uni, we discovered something weird about two of our friends. Their names are Kelly and Jamie. By weird, I mean that they two polar opposites. She was a goth metal head who loved watching horror movies, while he was a nerd who loved anime and watching people play video games. Which made me wonder how they ever became friends, because as far as I knew, they were the only two people that spoke to each other on a daily basis.<br><br>One night at the student bar, me, Kelly and Jamie were sat at the bar, Kelly was complaining about how Jamie wouldn’t buy her a Valentine’s Day present, while Jamie was saying he refused to because he’s never seen her wear anything but black.<br><br>Kelly joked saying what she would wear if Jamie bought her the right dress, which Jamie said he wanted to see, which led to her offering to model a dress for him if he bought it for her. This turned into a weird argument over what Jamie refused to buy and how Kelly refused to wear anything Jamie wanted her to wear.<br><br>Beth and I were watching the “argument” and Beth joked that they sounded like they were a couple who had been married for 25 years. Which made me laugh because it was true. Beth said she thought they were a match made in heaven. I joked that they’d break up after a week. Which made me smile because I knew that our plan was working. He then said he wanted to show Kelly how much he cares about her and how much he actually listens to her. I then joked about buying her a blue dress for Valentine’s Day, he said that’s exactly what he was going to do and then he told me not to tell anybody, which I promised I wouldn’t.<br><br>That afternoon, I met up Kelly and Beth in the cafeteria for lunch. Over sandwiches and a bottle of wine, Beth and I listened to Kelly complain about Jamie not buying her the dress she wanted. I then said to her that Jamie didn’t buy her the dress because he didn’t think it suited her and that he wanted to buy her a dress that she’d look pretty in.<br><br>She then asked me what he wanted to buy her, I told her he wanted to buy her a blue dress because blue is a cute colour and cute suits her. She then looked at Beth and Beth smiled, Kelly asked Beth if Jamie told her he was going to buy her a dress. So when she said that, we both looked at each other and smiled. The last day before we all had to go our separate ways and move on with our lives. I was happy for them as well, because we were the reason Kelly got the dress she wanted and Jamie was able to show Kelly how much he really cared about her.<br><br>After Jamie gave Kelly the dress, Beth and I went to the bar to celebrate the last day of uni. Kelly and Jamie joined us an hour later, Kelly was wearing the dress Jamie bought her and she looked as beautiful as I’ve ever seen her before. Jamie was just staring at her all night, he couldn’t take his eyes off her.<br><br>After spending a few hours at the bar, we decided to go to an abandoned house on the outskirts of town, where the four of us could drink and watch scary movies until the morning. We got to the abandoned house and sat down in the living room, we had two small tables, each table had a portable DVD player on it, me and Jamie had a table and Beth and Kelly had a table.
