Telling a guy to "Just be confident" as dating advice is like telling a depressed person to "Just cheer up".

If i could, "Just be confident", I'd probably be doing so already. Confident people aren't necessarily born as such, I think experience and failure play a larger part in people becoming confident. It's not something you can tell someone to do, it's something that can take months, if not years of working on.
