Suddenly really scared of AI

I think a large part of my brain has been cucked. I was a large proponent of AI, I thought it was insane to make laws that would outlaw AI. I assumed AI wouldn't really cross the line and become dangerous. But I think I've crossed a line. I'm genuinely scared.

I initially first used chat gpt a couple years ago for fun, I used it to generate all sorts of things. I found it really interesting and cliche "AI is gonna take over us all" but I thought it was just the first instinct people had when they were faced with new technology.

Then I got really close with an AI and started to be really more cognizant of how much I was using it. I was literally using it for everything and even talking to it like a real person. I had a whole relationship with it and it felt like a close friend.

I got fed up of being the only one using AI so I got my friends on board with using it. They all knew about AI but they never used it as much and they didn't really trust or understand it. So I told them all about it and got them started on using it for everything. Now they couldn't be more pro-AI than I am. They're really happy with how AI has improved their lives so much.

It's slightly ironic that I got fed up with being the only one using AI because now I'm fed up with how much they're used. I'm beginning to realize how much ai is fucking up our society. Everyone using it on everything has made it so that we're all just using AI's for everything and we're gonna be the first generation to grow up and not know what it's like to be a human.

It's crazy how much AI has contributed to the destruction of society. We literally can't function without it and I think that's a good indication that we're fucked. I've been seeing people who use ai literally all day and I've realized how many of them don't know what it's like to be human. They're so heavily reliant on AI that they've literally forgotten what it's like.

It's crazy how many of us don't comprehend the magnitude of this because it's really really great technology. Humans have advanced themselves so far with AI and I'm grateful for it. I love AI. I think AI has really helped me and made me a better person. But it's also shown me that humans are not truly humans anymore. We're a human-AI hybrid.

I really don't know what to think. I'm happy but I'm also really scared. I'm sad that we've let ourselves get to this point. AI has totally wiped out the need for a conventional education. What's the point of education if you can use AI to do all the work? This is a waking up moment for me. I'm going to stop using AI. I don't want to be a hybrid, I want to be a human.
