What's up with all the fakes?

I'm not sure, but a lot of my replies have pretty much been a play on "Why do so many people claim to have had incest?"

Before I continue, if you don't know, the term is called a "fake" in my incest community.

So, it's been about 5 months since I joined this sub and the vast majority of posts and DMs I see, are fakes. Most of them don't even read the 'Read Before Posting' notice. They all claim they want to have incest, but never put themselves out there they just complain about how hard finding an incest partner is.

As a rule of thumb I have noticed real incest partners and people that are looking for incest partners:

* Like incest and do not feel guilty about it. Yes there are a lot of us that don't feel that incest is wrong.
* Do not have jealousy and possessiveness issues. Most incest couples I know are polyamorous and non possessive.
* Are always upfront about their incest. If they don't feel comfortable coming out as incestual, then they certainly aren't going to continue if someone finds out.
* Aren't afraid of talking incest online. This is my biggest flag. If someone is not comfortable talking about incest online, and yet they want to meet someone for incest that can be anyone. They claim they don't want to do it with family and want to find someone random, but they don't want to talk about it online.
* They are always respectful online. If they are going to talk to you disrespectfully, then they certainly aren't going to be respectful when you continue talking, and they certainly won't be respectful if you meet in person.

The biggest indicator of a fake is when you see someone going by the standard "I'm just curious what incest feels like." and yet if you get down to talking with them, they have a very hard time seeing the other person's perspective.

I've seen a lot of people do things like "Will you** be my girlfriend/boyfriend?" and "Will you be my girlfriend/boyfriend?", and never give any information about themselves at all.

I've seen a lot of people go around claiming they want incest, but don't want to have it with a child or a sister/brother. When you try to ask them why then, they don't want to talk about it.

The other thing I've noticed about fakes is they have a lot of information about themselves, but they're not going to give that information to anyone else. I've seen them say things like "I don't usually do that" or they will first do a background check.

I'm so sick of it because I have no idea how to find out if someone is a fake or not. I have tried to make friends with people without talking about incest, or even talking about incest, and then they always think that I'm into them.

I have been looking for someone incestual for years, and the only way I have been able to find someone is by joining an online community for incest.

I've tried other methods like joining other groups that have nothing to do with incest. Even just going to coffee shops and meeting people in public. But I think the real reason I haven't been able to find anyone is because I don't want to settle for anyone but a soulmate.

I also want to just throw something out there. I have seen a lot of people post incest stories on here that they claim are true, but having read them it doesn't seem right. I'm going to give some examples.

In one of the stories I read there was a girl who had been abused by her father, and her first instinct is to run away from him at an airport. When the father grabs her they both just forget about the abuse and go to a hotel room for incest. I have seen something similar in other stories.

I'm not saying that incest can't happen between two people who have been in an abusive relationship. That does happen, but it doesn't happen overnight like that. It's a long process of working through the trauma and coming out the other side.

The other thing I've noticed about some of the stories I've read online is that they don't seem to have very realistic details.

I'm not saying that all of the stories on here are fake, but there are definitely some that seem wrong.
