Men don't concealed-carry because most men don't care

I'm tired of seeing people talk about how men would carry if their significant others allowed it. It's completely different to talk about women and gun rights because women (in general) are socialized to care about the opinions of those around them, not just their immediate family. Men, on the other hand, are raised to not care what anyone who isn't their immediate family thinks about them.

The reality is that, outside of a few stereotypes like the "alpha male" and neurodivergent men, most men don't actually care what other men think about their significant others or their housekeeping habits. The idea of some good-friend-or-co-worker-of-mine-woman-disapproving-of-me-owning-a-gun is pretty laughable to most men. As a result, there is no real reason to "ask for permission" to buy a gun other than your own sense of propriety. And most men just won't care what strangers on the internet think about that.
