I was almost kidnapped at the airport

This is my first time posting here and I don’t know if I posted in the right place I’m sorry if it’s not the right category.

This happened to me last year. I was at the airport waiting for my flight when an airport employee approached me telling me that my flight had been delayed because of bad weather and to follow him to a private lounge so that I can wait there more comfortably. I told him that I hadn’t heard anything from the airline. He said that the flight I was supposed to be on was the last one of the day and that the crew already went home so they wouldn’t notify me, but he could let me wait in the crew’s private lounge until morning and that he would come wake me up when they call him that the weather had cleared up and that my flight is ready to depart. Again, I told him I hadn’t heard anything from the airline and he said that that’s because he was the one in charge of notifying passenger’s of delays and cancellations and that the crew can’t contact me from home. I was confused so I asked him to show me his airport ID but he said he had already left it in the lounge so I can go with another airport employee who was standing right next to him to the lounge and he would show me his ID. So I told the other man to show me his airport ID and he did. It was legit and everything so I went with them to the lounge. I mean I was tired and they seemed genuine and I didn’t have anywhere else to go so why not right? So we walked down the airport hallways until we reached an elevator. They took me to the 4th floor. The elevators only went up to 3. I live in a small to medium sized airport so that’s not strange. I asked where we were going and they said they had to take a short cut to the lounge. So we’re walking and I notice that there are no other airport employees walking around. It was very strange. There were no windows just concrete walls everywhere. I asked what part of the airport we were in and they said that we were in the area they call the ‘airport offices’ and that all airport employees take a short cut through there. I knew that airport employees don’t take shortcuts through the offices so I knew something was wrong. But weirdly enough I wasn’t scared or anything. I was just confused because I had never seen this part of the airport before. I asked to see his airport ID again and he said that he doesn’t need to show me anything and I said that I wasn’t going any further and I turned around and started walking back to the elevator. The other guy blocked me and said I wasn’t going anywhere. I started to run and the airport employee started to chase me but I didn’t stop until I reached the elevators. Once the doors opened I ran inside. I looked back and saw one of the guys was chasing me down the hallway. I rode the elevator back down to the first floor and ran to the security check point. I told them what happened and they told me to wait there and they would call the police.

I reported the incident. What pisses me off the most though is that one of the guys I encountered was a real airport employee. The other wasn’t. But I’m just glad nothing bad happened to me and I got home safe. But other people might not be as lucky so be careful when people approach you at the airport because it could be a trap. And if anyone reading this was one of the guys- LET’S NOT MEET.
