How do i recognize a woman in the thirties and up that is single and not just married forget she has no ring on her finger? And how do i approach her?

I like mature women and im not too picky but i want a single woman... how can i at least know that she is single?... she can have no ring on her finger but still be married because she hates jewelry or mayby be divorced etc...
