Coffee smells 100x better than it tastes

Coffee smells so god damn good, it's incredible. However, it is somehow managed by every single person who drinks it to make it taste... bland and dirty. Like it's sucking the flavour out of my tongue. I don't know how people can devote themselves to a substance that has such a great smell, but awful taste. It's like you'd like the aesthetic of having a coffee, standing in a coffee shop and watching all the cute girls walk by through a coffee shop window over the actual coffee.
