App idea. One-tap counter app using blockchain

Hey everyone. I always get excited and even a little obsessive by either meeting a milestone or just by the numeric symmetry of a number. I’m sure I’m not alone. I’m surprised I haven’t seen this app yet. There are apps that track how long a counter has been running, but it is not a “milestone counter app”. What I would like is an app that allows you to create as many counters as you want to keep track of either meeting a milestone, or just seeing how long it has been since a particular event. For example, I would like to track how long it has been since I got laid off. Im sure some people would like to track how long they have been sober. There are endless possibilities.

I see it using blockchain because people are so concerned about their “free” apps keeping a count for them. Sure, you would have to buy a small amount of crypto to run the app, but it would be very small. Im thinking like a tenth of a cent. This amount would be fixed and defined at the start of the app and would continue to be that amount forever. It would be an “open source” app so you can see the source code and know that the app will never have ads and never sell your data. You can create as many counters as you want. Essentially, you would have a very small charge to your account every time you increment a counter. Id like to think that amount would remain the same forever. The counter is only updated if and only if the user clicks the increment button. It does not automatically increment. The goal is to track milestones reached, not a running countdown.

With the app built on a blockchain, it would be open source, and anyone can see the source code. The app would be transparent as no private company can modify the code and it cannot be taken down because it is built on a decentralized, open-source blockchain.

Anyway, Im sure this kind of app already exists, but I thought I’d put it out there.
