Once someone makes over $50,000 they are more likely to stop helping their family and friends than to keep helping them.

I personally believe that the service and help people give to one another is decreasing as people make more than $50k. I get 25% less likes on my chambers posts and 50% less likes on my instagram posts than I used to. I know multiple people who have stopped buying things for their parents or friends. I myself refuse to buy a house for my parents, buy a car for my friends, or even spend more money than I have to on Christmas or birthdays.
