It's super fucked up that male victims of sexual assault are so glossed over

You hear about women and girls who have survived sexual assault and it's amazing how much support they get. But when you tell a man, especially a male colleague, that you've been assaulted, he won't know how to react and will probably say something like "Yeah well we're even now since I asked you out and you said no" and that's it. I've gotten so many weird reactions from strangers, friends, and family members. It's not even on the radar of most people and it angers me that people placed on a white flag for women but not for men. If you were decent enough to believe a female stranger, you should be even more decent enough to believe a male stranger.
