With the rapid developments in AI 2025, is going to be a wild year. What do you predict will happen?<br><br>Boring tech predictions from OpenAI:<br><br>AI that can automatically generate video on par with high-quality human video editing will become widely available.<br><br>AI far surpassing the capabilities of ChatGPT 4 will be widely available and likely free.<br><br>GPT-5 is expected to be released in 2025 according to OpenAI’s CEO and is expected to be 1Tb, dramatically more powerful than GPT-4, with capabilities similar to AGI but more narrow and constrained.<br><br>Some predictions from OpenAI on the future of work: “this decade, if you can imagine a future where chatbots are able to cover like 80% of all customer support work, or 80% of all call center work, then as a society, we may be able to work a lot less, and have a lot more free time to do what’s important to us.” - OpenAI’s CEO<br><br>Subreddit’s top commenters predictions<br><br>ChatGPT 6 may be released in 2025, the CEO of OpenAI originally said it would be released in 2026 but has now declined to guess.<br><br>The CEO of Microsoft has said there will be a “GPT 7” but has declined any guess on when it may come, others have guessed that it may come as early as 2027.<br><br>Some predictions from OpenAI on the future of work: “this decade, if you can imagine a future where chatbots are able to cover like 80% of all customer support work, or 80% of all call center work, then as a society, we may be able to work a lot less, and have a lot more free time to do what’s important to us.” - OpenAI’s CEO<br><br>Tony Fadell predicts that chatbots will take over the 80% of work that is routine making humans work more on ‘creative’ work or whatever that may mean.<br><br>Maybe that will happen and maybe it won’t but I’m more interested in what you think?
