so i teach high school choir and i'm pretty young (24) and obviously not married, and earlier this week, one of my students jokingly said "oh you're so pretty...will you marry me?" and i said something like "oh i'm flattered and all but i'm not legal yet" (we live in the usa), or something like that. because i'm 24 and legal, lol.

so they all have this impression that i'm not legally an adult yet and they're spreading this rumor now. they keep asking my colleagues how old i am and i can tell they're trying to confirm that rumor. the best part is, some of them are actually convinced that i'm 18. wow. they have me for 2.5 hours a day and they still don't think i'm an adult. i hope they keep thinking that and i get to keep going to the movies for 10$ a ticket

it's absolutely hilarious and i'm living for it. you would think that they as high schoolers would understand the prerequisites for being a teacher.
