Why are the right wing and left-wing parties both so ****ed up in the US?

I say this as a person from the left leaning democratic country. We have government funded healthcare and free schools for everyone. The government helps poor people with finding jobs and has programs to help people who are looking for work. The government also gives subsidies to lower price of stuff like food, clothes, and furniture.<br><br>AFAIK, the US has neither government-funded healthcare nor government-funded help for the poor. This is my main confusion with the US right-wing. Why do you support the rich? They aren't gonna help you. Why are you so against the government helping the poor? The time when the government should help the most is when people are really struggling. Isn't that what governments are there for? To help citizens who are struggling? It seems like a weird mindset to me.<br><br>On the other hand, why does the US left-wing seem so, well, batshit insane? I mean, the US left-wing seems as ****ed up as the right-wing. They seem to have these constant virtue-signalling social media wars. They say **** like, *middle-class people should pay triple-digit taxes.* They also seem to have some constant crusade to make sure that black people aren't being offended. I bet that the majority of the crimes of black people in the US aren't even because white people are being racist, but because they were born in the ghettos and are poor and stuff. Because the government doesn't help them.<br><br>Are you guys ok with these two ****ed up parties? Why don't you start something like the "Common-Sense party" or something?
