Is this how we always express our thoughts now?

I see a lot of discussion in this Sub going something like this: <br><br>Person A: What do you think about topic X?<br><br>Person B: [Pastes a long excerpt from a random webpage/source.]<br><br>Person A: What’s the point of this? Why are you always sending me random links/excerpts?<br><br>Person B: It’s better than my paraphrase. <br><br>Person A: I’d rather you paraphrased it.<br><br>Person B: [Pastes another long excerpt from a webpage/source.]<br><br>Not that I’m suggesting anything like this happens in real life.
