Don't forget we were right

Not for the first time this month, we can vividly remember the day we were proven wrong.<br><br>Yesterday, Monday, July 14th, Bill O'Reilly harangued President Barack Obama over the murder of police officers in Dallas. It was the conclusion to a day of assault on Black Lives Matter in the media, and on the media itself.<br>The media succeeding in undermining the media, while president Obama was forced to address police murder. <br><br>Sometimes the president must ask his people not to overact, not to go out and harm anyone over the action of a few. On July 14th he was tasked with trying to convince the media not to attack Black Lives Matter for the murder of five police officers and wounding of six others. But he didn't say that.<br><br>In fact, he doubled down on Black Lives Matter. He called the shooter a "demented individual", and he called Black Lives Matter a "peaceful" movement. He said that their mission is sound, without a hint of regret or apology. He called upon the media and the country to listen to their outrage.<br><br>He attacked the media for equating Black Lives Matter to the Dallas shooter. He called them out for their divisive rhetoric, and he did it on national television. He did it on live television, with no script and no teleprompter. Even O'Reilly was taken aback.<br><br>How did the media react? They doubled down, they "absorbed" the president's message, and they did it right to his face. O'Reilly, the king of the right wing media, didn't blink. But he did pause. This is a moment where you can see the media pause, right before they got a new message from the top down. <br><br>Yesterday we were proven right again. Black Lives Matter is a peaceful movement. The media is divisive and dangerous. Bill O'Reilly is a lying sack of shit, and President Obama is a very cool and collected man. <br><br>So don't forget our conclusions from yesterday. Don't forget our mass media is a threat to the American people. Don't forget that Black Lives Matter is a peaceful movement. Don't forget that Bill O'Reilly is a piece of shit. And don't forget the president's calm and collected coolness in the face of all of this.
