Just because you have depression/anxiety/personality disorder does not mean everyone has to cater to you

I get it, you are vulnerable if you have a mental disorder, and obviously people with down syndrome deserve treatment and care because they cannot read the room.

However, just because you are emotionally/psychologically vulnerable doesn’t mean that every little thing that happens around you is an emergency, and that everyone has to be an assistant to you throughout the day to make sure you don’t feel bad.

You are not entitled to a buffer zone just because you have a disorder. You are not entitled to a pass on life just because life is too much for you. Sorry, that’s life. Get over it. That’s what therapy is for, as well as supporting people, not catering to them. There is a big difference.

I remember in high school, this girl would get super angry when people wouldn’t let her be the leader of a project or something. She would then have a tantrum, and everyone had to be her assistant, and everyone had to make sure she was happy. I didn’t even like talking to her because she was so entitled, and would expect people to read her body language and back off if she was being a bitch.

I am sure there are a lot of people with these kinds of issues, who think everyone has to be their friend because of their issues. You are not entitled to a friend just because you have a disorder, and you are not entitled to a pass through life just because you have a disorder. No one owws you anything, you are just like everyone else. Yes, it sucks, but everyone has issues in life you just have to live with it.
