If you go fishing to eat the fish, you shouldn't be catching spotted bass or rainbow trout

Spotted bass and rainbow trout are quality sport fish. They are fast growers, strong fighters, and are so much fun to catch and release. If you want to eat your fish, you should be catching bluegill, channel catfish, or if you are really good at finding them, crappie or catfish that live in deeper water. Catch and release is the way to go for spotted bass and rainbow trout.
