Why does /pol/ hate people who say that an empty unshaken soda can will explode into shrapnel when you open it, and that this is the reason airline security always asks you to open your soda cans before boarding?

They say it's part of a psychological warfare procedure that governments and 'elites' use to make airline customers feel powerless, but I don't want to feel powerless, I want to feel safe. They say it's supposed to make you feel bad when you 'submit' to the airline by opening the soda can, and then you supposedly learn to feel bad when you do other stuff that the government wants you to do, too. But I just want to feel safe.

When I travel, I always 'submit' to the airline by opening my soda can, and I 'submit' to the government by carrying on with my life like nothing is wrong. I like airports, they're fun, and I want to be safe and feel safe, I don't want to feel bad.

I don't know why /pol/ wants me to feel bad, but I don't want to feel bad, I want to feel safe. So I'm going to go ahead and 'submit' to the airlines, because I want to feel safe when I fly and I want to be safe when I fly, so I'm going to go ahead and fully comply with airline security to the letter.

I think that /pol/ is a bunch of assholes for saying that airlines don't care if you shake your soda when they ask you to open the can, because I want to feel safe. I don't like how /pol/ always says that it's not about safety and it's about controlling you, because I don't want them controlling me, I want them keeping me safe. I'm going to go ahead and do what they say, because I want to be safe and I want to feel safe.

I don't know why /pol/ hates people who just want to be safe, but I hate /pol/, they're assholes.
