I wrote a heartfelt letter to the Israeli Ambassador

I'm not Israeli, nor do I have any family members currently living there, but I wanted to tell them how I feel. Here it was:<br><br>Dear Ambassador Herzog,<br><br>My name is Mitchell Graham, and I am a 22-year-old student from Nova Scotia, Canada, and I have wanted to express my deepest sentiments of support for the State of Israel for quite a while now. I am not Jewish, nor do I have any family members currently living in Israel, but I wanted to let you know that I am one of your biggest fans and that my support of your nation runs extremely deep. I hear that the outgoing British Ambassador of Israel has stated that Israel has an ever-growing stock of Palestinian supporters in his nation. If that is the case there, I strongly believe it to be the case here in Canada. I am a full supporter of your nation, and would support it even if it meant being called a racist or some other bullshit term that will likely be used against me in the future. Every single major country in the world has had blood on its hands unless it's Iceland, but even Iceland has a troubled history. I am not one of the idiots who claims Israel is committing genocide against the Palestinians, nor do I believe that Israel is even in the wrong at all when it comes to Palestine. I have done plenty of research, both from Israel's side, as well as from the Palestinian side and I know, and have known for a long time, that Israel is in the right here. It is appalling when people claim that the Palestinians are just freedom fighters standing up against Israeli aggression. The truth is, and I know you know this, is that Palestine (Hamas, the PLO, and Fatah) are the ones committing atrocities against innocent men, women, and children. They are the ones calling for Israel's destruction on social media, while the Israeli people are just trying to live their lives in peace. I am not saying that Israel has not committed any wrongdoings, but I can confidently say that there is no way that Israel has committed anywhere close to the amount of atrocities that Palestine has committed against Israeli citizens (and even against their own). When the Palestinians claim to want peace, while calling for Israel's destruction on social media? No, they do not deserve peace. When Palestine shoots thousands of rockets into Israel proper, targeting innocent civilians, and Israel defends itself, and people call it genocide, a war crime, and act of self defense? No, Israel does not deserve any of that hate it receives. <br><br>I can go on and on and on and on and on, but that is the gist of it. I want you to know that even though Israel seems to be getting kicked in the teeth at every corner from nations around the world who have now (some) turned against you, there are still plenty of people who believe in Israel's right to exist as its own sovereign nation. I am not one of those people who will be swayed against Israel no matter what. Even if the world turned against Israel (and we're already kind of seeing this) I would still support Israel. Your nation is truly a shining example of democracy in the Middle East, (and the world) and if anyone has a right to exist, it's Israel. Thank you for your time reading this, and I hope that this message reaches your office. I am so glad there are so many like-minded people who, like me, love Israel and believe in Israel's right to exist as its own sovereign nation.
