People who leave their cats home alone for more than 24 hours at a time to go on vacation are assholes.

I understand if your cat is very old or disabled and doesn’t fly well, but otherwise they should not be left alone for more than 24 hours. It’s so easy these days to make sure your cat is taken care of while you’re away. Either ask a friend or family member more cat tolerant than you, or look up a local cat sitter. I will never understand why cat owners consider going away for more than a couple of days acceptable. Cats don’t care that you’re on vacation, they just want to be looked after.
