Do I avoid an F-35 program if I avoid the aerospace company with the F-35 program?

If I want to join a company that's working on the F-35, but I don't want to work on the F-35 program itself, should I invest my time and resources joining the company anyway hoping to work on another project, or should I just outright accept a different aerospace company that isn't working on the F-35 program?
