I stole $3000 in flower pots

I used to work at Home Depot. When I was about 17, we used to get in huge shipments of flower pots, and people would take a bunch of stuff back in this truck to break it down so we could throw it away. I convinced them to leave me a few boxes of the plastic flower pots and they said it was fine, it was trash, or that’s what I thought anyway. I then used a little drill to create drainage holes in about thirty flower pots. I then walked up to the bedding department and took 30 bags of black dirt. They were about $0.97 each. I didn’t forget to drill holes in the bottom of the flower pots. I brought them home and filled them with the dirt, and used some seeds from my dad to grow the first bag of weed I ever harvested. It wasn’t too strong, but it was enough to get me enough weed to sell to some kids at school to make an extra ~$3000. I ended up using those pots for the next 6-8 bags I grew. I did this when I was in high school, and I’m 36 now, so it’s been more than a decade since I’ve thought about this at all. I think it’s just funny to think about how I’ve spent the last 10 years of my life as a district manager for a Fortune 500 company, when the first few years of my career involved stealing from my first job to grow weed and smoke it, and sell it to a bunch of kids.
