I stole my dad's 20 and used it to buy a toy from the gumball machine. Except i got caught.

This happened when i was 5 and it's my guilty pleasure as an adult i still think about this.<br><br>When i was 5 my dad took me to the mall with him. he bought me a small gumball machine with a soft toy in it. You know the 1 dollar machines where you put in a coin and turn the handle to get the soft toy out. I didn't have any money on me so i stole a 20 dollar bill from my dad's pocket and used it to buy the gumball machine which had a penguin. I was so happy that i now had a penguin. Until i saw my dad's face. He said nothing but instead took me to the car, drove me back home and sent me to my room. I thought that was it. I got grounded for like a month. I was sad, 5 and i didn't know what to do. I didn't tell anybody about it. I didn't know how to tell my family and friends that i stole money from my own dad. I was too ashamed of myself. My parents never told anybody about this. And it is something that i will never forget in my life.
